Medical Administrative Specialist program description
The medical administrative specialist program provides students with hands-on training, real-world work experience, opportunities to gain special certifications, and compete in business and medical related competitions. This program was also awarded a Grant from the Ohio Department of Education for the incorporation of a new and growing field of Health Informatics. Students work in groups and complete projects to help solve current and future health care problems.
Job Outlook: According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the job outlook for Medical Records and Health Information Technicians is expected to grow by 22% between 2012 and 2022 which is much faster than all other occupations. This means when students graduate, they will be able to find a job in this field.
